The best decision we made was picking Marleen as our wedding planner. We had planned a wedding for the end of October 2020. Generally, wedding planning can be a stressful event, especially if its location is in another country. However, we never felt that way because Marleen always seemed to be one step ahead of us. Planning the locations, speaking with the vendors, outlining future steps, introducing us to handy wedding planning tools and regularly updating us with all that was going on. From the first meeting with Hello Portugal onwards, we felt we were in really good and professional hands and planning our wedding became a joyful happening.
Our trip to view wedding locations in the beautiful mountains of Labrugeira in Portugal felt more like a vacation and was a very enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and we had to cancel the arrangements. Postponing our wedding was disappointing, but not a difficult decision.
Once again, Marleen was very supportive and handled everything: updating us on the lockdown measures in Portugal so we could make an informed decision, negotiating new clauses and new dates with the different vendors etc. Her proactive and accommodating attitude lifted all the (emotional and financial) pressure from our shoulders.
Even though the wedding was cancelled in Portugal, we went ahead with a small and intimate civil marriage in August 2020. While Marleen wasn´t the organiser, she still supported us all the way through, with lovely and caring messages, flowers and wishing us well.
Her enthusiasm and love for the work she does, shines through in everything she does. It makes for a very pleasant and relaxing experience, and we will highly recommend Hello Portugal to any couple starting off on this momentous journey!

It was our dream to have a relaxed, casual, 'non-perfect' wedding. That all happend and it turned out to be the most magical perfect day for us.
Marleen helped us found the perfect venue within our budget, which was beyond our expectations. She understood our wishes and listened to every need. She recommended great suppliers who helped with the hair and makeup, photography etc.
Not only is she a lovely thoughtful person who thinks about all the little things, she is also just a great person to talk to. We have seen some event-planners in the past, who get snappy while organizing, but not Marleen. She remained so friendly and calm to everyone, before and on the wedding day, while still getting everything done. We are very grateful of all the little things that she thought of before and on the day itself.

Vanaf onze eerste intake Skype call wisten we meteen dat Hello Portugal geschikt was om ons verder te helpen.
We trokken naar Sintra om Marleen te ontmoeten en dit verliep zeer vlot, eerst samen lekker eten en daarna voor het eerst de trouwlocatie bezoeken, zo kwamen we weer een stapje dichter bij onze droombruiloft.
Om de paar weken hoorde we van Marleen via Skype of Whatsapp zodat we zeker alles in orde kregen en niets zouden vergeten. Wat we ook vroegen of welk voorstel we ook hadden alles was mogelijk! Wauw zoveel moeite voor onze dag! Hoe kan het ook anders dan goed komen als je deze job met zoveel passie doet!
