Of course, we can give indications of average costs, but 'average' is not exactly a technical term that we like to use when it regards your wedding. That is why there is no such thing as an average wedding budget.
Expectations, timing and location
That is one of the reasons that we pretend to work 'every budget' - be it tested for feasibility beforehand. Aha, feasibility! "You're pretty good about the hot knit," we hear you think. That is a bit more nuanced and we will explain why.
Budgeting has everything to do with your own standards and expectations. Are you going for a 6-star location or does a pure Portuguese traditional venue appeal more? Do you expect a Michelin-dignified dinner, or will you be completely happy with a Burgundian buffet?
Budgeting also has to do with timing. Think of high and low season. Same as with your holiday, there is a high and low season for weddings and celebrations. Your wedding date will surely impact your budget, so choose wisely.
Another decision that will impact your budget is the location. The Algarve in Portugal has been a favourite wedding destination for years, but also Lisbon with its fashionable coastal towns Cascais and Estoril. And do not forget the fairytale Sintra with its treasure of UNESCO world heritage. On the other hand, if you opt for the beautiful Portuguese inland or lesser-known Portuguese coastal towns, the same quality will have a different (more pleasant) price.
